About Steven

Steven Cranston is an enrolled member of the Tlingit and Haida Tribes of Alaska. His acrylic paintings, screen printed serigraphs and wood carved panels explore Alaska Native Formline design through a contemporary lens. His work draws inspiration from the traditional ovoid and u-shape forms that have carried cultural meaning for generations.
